PK U.S.A. continues its celebration of 30 years in Shelbyville, Indiana.
The company recently presented gifts of appreciation to over 50 associates who have 20-plus years of service. Associates were given one-of-a-kind Bundy Duck along with $300 gift cards.
Press Kogyo Co., Ltd., Senior Executive Managing Officer & CTO Satoru Murayama made the trip directly from Japan to help present awards to these associates, and thank them personally. PK U.S.A. President and CEO, Masakazu Nakayama, and PK U.S.A. Vice President Bill Kent were also present to help give awards to the associates.
During presentations to the Chin Community, a $500 check was presented to Moses Lian, the Director of the Chin Center in Indianapolis.
“The Chin Community supports our Burmese associates in many ways, so it was only appropriate we support their efforts,” said Kent in a press release.
“PK U.S.A. would not be where it is today without the commitment and hard work of all associates at our Shelbyville facility. We thank you for your dedication,” said Murayama.
Steak dinner was prepared for everyone at the PK U.S.A. facilities, and local city and county officials joined in on the celebration.
“Everyone in Shelbyville and Shelby County appreciates PK U.S.A.’s commitment to the community, we’ve had a great partnership for 30 years, and look forward to the next 30 years,” said Shelbyville Mayor Tom DeBaun.
Additionally, to express their gratitude to Shelbyville and Shelby County and their support of PK U.S.A. and its facilities, Nakayama and Murayama presented $5,000 to DeBaun in the Shelbyville Council Chambers.
“Our relationship with the city of Shelbyville is vitally important to all of us at PK U.S.A., we appreciate the support of our manufacturing operations here, and plan to continue opportunities for growth here in Shelby County,” said Nakayama.
