This February, I was pleased to share that Stephanie Amos was selected to be Ivy Tech Franklin’s next vice chancellor, effective March 4. This role also services Ivy Tech Mooresville and Shelbyville. Stephanie succeeds Tina Jobe-Gross, who provided more than 17 years of service to the College. As Tina embarks on her next venture as chief financial officer for Franklin Community Schools. We thank Tina for her years of service and look forward to Stephanie sharing her talents with our Franklin campus. Stephanie is a Shelby County resident and before accepting this position, was the director of finance for Ivy Tech Columbus, Lawrenceburg and Bloomington. She has more than 20 years of finance and management experience, previously working for Conseco Services, Major Health Partners and Rush Memorial Hospitals. She joined Ivy Tech in 2011 as the executive director of finance and in late 2015, also served as interim vice chancellor of student affairs. In addition, Stephanie was the interim executive director of workforce alignment for Ivy Tech’s Columbus and southeast locations in 2017. She is heavily involved with the Ivy Tech community and is a part of six committees. Stephanie has continued her education while working at Ivy Tech, earning her Master of Business Administration degree in 2015, with a concentration on organizational leadership. She is also a recipient of Columbus Regional Health Lean Sigma Green Belt Training (2015) and ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (2016). Stephanie is in the process to earn her Simplex certification this year, which will make her a Simplex facilitator for the college. “I am eager to continue applying my learnings and delivering results within the Ivy Tech Community College organization,” Stephanie said. “I look forward to working and collaborating with the community and employer partners to increase educational attainment in those communities and build a skilled workforce for our employers.”
