SCP receives 14 Encore nominations

Shelby County Players announced it received 14 Encore nominations.

Two of SCP’s shows for the 2019-20 season, “Tom, Dick and Harry” and “The Nerd” were eligible.

Cast members Brenden Everett, Ryan Gilpatrick and Nolan Gadient from “Tom, Dick and Harry” were nominated for Best Ensemble in a Play.

“The Nerd” received 13 nominations.

They include: Chanta Quillen for Best Production of a Comedy; Danyel Comstock for Best Director of a Comedy; Dakota Cook for Best Lead Actor of a Comedy; Ryan Gilpatrick for Best Lead Actor of a Comedy; Carey Nigh for Best Major Supporting Actor of a Comedy; Erin Fralick for Best Major Supporting Actor in a Play; Kara Hartman for Best Minor Supporting Actor in a Play; Greg Cox for Best Lighting Design for a Comedy; Karen Markle for Best Light Board Operator for a Comedy; Karen Markle for Best Sound Board Operator for a Comedy; Greg Cox for Best Sound Design for a Comedy; Sheila Fullerton for Best Costumes for a Comedy; Amanda Miller for Best Props for a Play; and Danyel Comstock and Lindy Meyer for Best Set Design for a Comedy.

This year’s awards ceremony will be held virtually Nov. 2.

The Encore Association is an Indianapolis-based non-profit that provides for the exchange of ideas and communication between groups and individuals interested in furthering community theatre.
